What on earth are these lines? Is this not women objectification of the worst kind?
That's exactly what irked Hamza Ali Abbasi when he saw a little girl perform on the above lyrics on a show on Bol Entertainment.
The show, Pakistan Star, brought the side of Hamza that we usually see on social media. But this time it was on TV in front of millions of viewers. And he summed his thoughts brilliantly.
Before we discuss his opinion, let's listen to what he said:

Let's Talk
He calls it filth. He calls it dimagh ka keera of directors who don't learn. And there is absolutely no disagreement. You can't ignore something, of which you have and are seeing devastating results around. That's criminal negligence.
What are we teaching these young kids? Kudos to Hamza for having the courage to call a spade. Calling out the mess of showbiz industry while being a part of it requires a lot of courage. You make a lot of enemies. A lot of people won't ever want to work with you.
But that didn't deter him from speaking what he feels is right. And he is absolutely right. Look at the rape culture that has been promoted in India due to such item songs. Now we also hear such stories in Pakistan. Numbers are rising. Do we want the same in Pakistan?
We don't. We absolutely don't. It's not our culture. It's not our religion. This kind of filth doesn't belong to us.
Zainab's case wasn't the only case. Her's wasn't the last case either. Many have happened after that. But we did we similar anger? No. Why? Because this is getting normalised. We can't let it become normal.
We need to take steps and take care of the future of our society, our country. We need to wakeup. Wakeup before it's too late.
