The 3D of Supreme Court’s Dams For Pakistan Fund

Since the announcement of Dam Fund by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the country has gone into a 3D wave: Dish-out, Discuss and Diarrhea. How? Let's have a look...

The 1st D: Dish-out

Understanding the urgency, some have grasped the need of time and have started dishing out money and creating awareness for the national cause. For now these people are few in numbers, bound to increase soon. They do comprehend how limited Pakistan’s water resources are, how much water is being wasted because Pakistan lacks dams and how many dams our neighboring India is building on its side of the border damaging the equation.

Indian factor is massive when it comes to Pakistan’s water needs. Water resources flowing through India are a lifeline for Pakistan but given the current scenario, our neighboring country is building dozens of dams on rivers flowing towards Pakistan. Result: It can control the water when Pakistan needs it. It can release when Pakistan don’t. Result: Floods. Massive floods as we have been seeing in the last few years.

Solution? The Biggest D! A Dam!

So the first D in our list of 3Ds is playing a big part in helping the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s fund which in turn will help themselves, but what about the rest?

The 2nd D: Discuss

These are the people who have started discussing about the issue. They can be found talking on dinner tables at restaurants and weddings or in drawing room discussions talking about how this program will work and how this might fail and how noble this cause is etc. etc.

Probably they are the ones who are undecided about whether to donate or saying they will do so or giving impractical suggestions with a good intention. Most of the guys you encountered must be from this group.

Apparently, this group might be least practical for the cause, however they are playing a positive role. At least compared to the third D, they are.

The 3rd D: Diarrhea

In our list of 3Ds, last spot is taken by Diarrhea. The worst for this cause. You will find them everywhere. No, they aren’t the ones big in number, you will just find them everywhere because they scream a lot. Ever seen someone going through a silent and odorless diarrhea?

You will find these people using cuss words, abusing the forces, abusing the state and trying to give a false impression that they care. They try to ridicule the national fundraiser by saying it’s a Chanda and it’s a joke etc. Without a hint of the need of these dams, without identifying the consequences if they’re not made, without a hint of the disastrous results ignorance might lead to, they will keep spreading the filth. Come what may.

You will also find many of the same people supporting corrupt politicians and so-called democrats. Another D they love.

The Situation...

We all pay taxes. Many pay indirect and some pay direct. Many don’t pay the direct taxes they are due to pay. Evading the taxes, they cause burden to national exchequer. Then we elect governments that are corrupt, those who have families outside, businesses and homes outside and have no interest in thinking about future of Pakistan. Metros get you next elections, not Dams neither a billion trees. When the mission is the next election and not the country’s long term future, you don’t build dams, you build flyovers. When you have this kind of democracy, you still expect the governments to use our money for our betterment?

The rich doesn’t pay taxes. The rich has the money but what would all that money do if one’s own survival is at stake? Elected governments failed to build dams all these years and now the time is short. Our former rulers have made us debt ridden for their ‘electoral projects’. Huge amounts of debt burden is on Pakistan and there is no way the national exchequer can take on the challenge of building such a huge project.

So we will build a Dam through Chanda?

This is a national fundraiser and not a Chanda as the diarrhea brigade calls it. Chanda is given to someone else for their needs. Chanda is when you take it from others for your needs. Chanda is not done to help build something for you and your kids. Do you give yourself Chanda? Do you give your kids Chanda? You need it. Your family needs it. Your family needs the Dam and not diarrhea. Samjhay, chanda?

Do you have another option?

A cash strained government, a debt ridden country cannot afford to take more loans to build the dams. The world wants us to go for the loan way. The world wants us to be further chained in this debt circle. But we the nation of givers, who don’t miss a chance to help out others, who don’t miss out on charity, can we not do something that will change the whole game?

So, let's do it!

Here is a link to Supreme Court’s website where you can find the bank account details to be a part of the fund-raiser and see live status of the fund itself.

If we are able to achieve this feat, if we are able to raise the amount we need, the world will not mock us. The world will appreciate us and applaud us. The world will call us the brave, resilient and a united nation. A nation free of selfishness, corruption and of course, diarrhea…

Most Affordable Switzerland in the World - Northern Pakistan

Who isn't fed up with the chaotic lives of our cities? Who doesn't want an escape from the noisy and polluted concrete jungles? I don't think there are any who would reply in affirmative to these questions. Almost all of us want a retreat. Some head to beach, some head to the jungles and some want to vanish in the mountains. But there is a catch: Do you have the money? You want to go to the beach? The far-east countries have you covered at a minimal cost. Want a jungle trip? South Africa and other African nations will get you everything in lowest prices. But what about the mountains? The snow peaks, glaciers, valleys and rivers; all of them remind us of Switzerland. But is it even an option for most of us? The answer is probably a 'no' and the reason is again: 'money'. It's sheer expensive! However we will tell you how you can experience Switzerland for a fraction. If you're thinking of #Switzerland , it's best to stick to a #budget

Aja relax karle Masti max karle Mein hu Billi  Chabalay Peelay Nochlay What on earth are these lines? Is this not women objectification of the worst kind? That's exactly what irked Hamza Ali Abbasi when he saw a little girl perform on the above lyrics on a show on Bol Entertainment.  The show, Pakistan Star, brought the side of Hamza that we usually see on social media. But this time it was on TV in front of millions of viewers. And he summed his thoughts brilliantly.  Before we discuss his opinion, let's listen to what he said: Hamza Abbasi on ITEM SONG. 👇🏼 pic.twitter.com/jACI0qX8Wc — Ahmed Sa£¡M (@Ahmadd_Saleem) June 17, 2019 Let's Talk He calls it filth. He calls it dimagh ka keera of directors who don't learn. And there is absolutely no disagreement. You can't ignore something, of which you have and are seeing devastating results around.
